About the area

Next to the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the village of Bookham is perfectly placed for country walks, cycling and horse rides yet still has excellent transport connections. Other opportunities include golf at several local clubs, angling and racing at Epsom & Sandown. Nearby Leatherhead also has a wide range of shopping and amenities including a theatre and leisure centre.

Local National Trust properties include Polesden Lacey in Bookham itself and Clandon Park. The Royal Horticultural Society also has its flagship site at Wisley.
